“I am passionate about fundraising. I think of it as financing social change. It is an honor to teach others to do it well.”

Susan is an expert on maximizing fundraising productivity from both annual and capital campaigns, with a special focus on major gifts. She has held senior development positions at University of California San Francisco, United Way of the Bay Area, the Buck Institute for Age Research, San Francisco General Hospital Foundation, and the San Francisco Education Fund.

As an independent consultant prior to joining Glavin Jacobson Inc., Susan’s clients included the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, Goodwill Industries, the Jewish Community Center, and the California College of Art. When her children were in elementary school, Susan wrote the popular guide book, “Getting the Public School You Want in San Francisco.”

Susan holds a bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University.
