Mark Denton

Mark Denton is a consultant working with clients in the arts, education and social services. His areas of expertise include all components of successful Development initiatives, General Management, and serving as an interim CEO. He has raised nearly $200 million in campaigns, including those for new facilities, strategic initiatives and comprehensive campaigns.

 

Prior to working as a consultant, Mark was Director of Development at the Jewish Home of San Francisco, where he completed the Home’s capital campaign, and raised millions of dollars of annual operating support. He served as the Vice President of Development at two of the country’s leading art colleges–Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, and California College of the Arts here in the Bay Area.  He was the Executive Director of Texas Ballet Theater , the General Manager of Oakland Ballet , and the Director of the San Francisco Art Commission’s Neighborhood Arts Program.

 

Mark holds a Bachelor's degree in History with honors from Kenyon College, and attended UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.

Mark lives in San Francisco with his husband. They were among the first couples married under Mayor Gavin Newsom's efforts to legalize gay marriage.
